HEIC Subtitles

Hello, I have a question regarding HEIC files. It is possible to manually add a subtitle to the information (metadata) of a HEIC photo. How can I use Advanced Renamer to extract this information and utilize it to rename the photo?
Thanks for your help. Peter

Welcome Peter!

Alas the question needs clarifying.

1) Did you mean you have an HEVC file?
HEIC is supposed to be for static images. And such images don't have a subtitle either as a track or as an allowed tag in the rigid, pre-defined list of tags for HEIC.
You could add a custom XMP tag named "Subtitle" but many programs may not recognize it.

2) By "manually add a subtitle to the information (metadata)..." did you mean you wanted to add a subtitle track? Or just add a new tag like Subtitle="Hindi"?
Again, neither of these make sense for an HEIC file.

Anyway, Aren can *change* existing tags in a limited manner, but it can't *add* a new tag.
Use other tools like exiftool for that. A version of exiftool ships with Aren.

To add a subtitle track to an appropriate file you would need still a different tool like "Lossless Cut" or ffmpeg.exe, etc.

As for using existing tags in the name, that's easy.

For example, a simple "Add" method to put the lens manufacturer at the end of the filename would be:
Add:                                    <LensMake>
At index:                              0
Backwards:                          Checked
Use regular expressions:    Not checked
Apply to:                             Name
