New spelling
Hello,
I have a file called "Invoice Elektro".
Goal: Invoice> Invoice Elektro (only the first letters of a word majority)
Method: new spelling
New case: capital letters
Location: First letter in every word
Apply to: name
This does not work. Is there a way to change your invoice?
Thanks

Hi Hubert,
So many questions...
You said you have a file called "Invoice Elektro"; yet it looks like that's what you want to change it to. What exactly is the original filename?
Do you have other methods in your batch?
Is the method activated? (check box on title bar of method checked?)
What exactly is the filename before loading it into Advanced Renamer?
How exactly does it not work? Nothing happens? Wrong changes? Please explain.
I'm sorry, but I can't answer the question without knowing exactly what the question is.
EDIT: Are you using the latest version of Advanced Renamer?
In the meantime you might try to put a new case method (I'm guessing you call it new spelling) and make all letters in the filename lower case first. *Then* change just the first letter of each word to upper case.
Best,
DF

Sorry, I misspelled it.
The file name is (all capital letters): "RECHNUNG ELEKTRO"
It should be changed to "Rechnung Elektro" (Electric Invoice).
In the new file name, only the first letter of each word should be capitalized.
Thank you

Hi Hubert,
The method works perfectly because "RECHNUNG ELEKTRO" already has the first letter of each word in uppercase, so it doesn't change anything.
As DF suggests, you need to apply the "new case" method twice: first to change all letters to lower case, then again to change the first letter of each word to upper case.
Good luck!

It works with two methods. Thank you.
Is there a way to write certain words (cancelled, the, that, etc.) in lowercase in a file name?
Example: Electrical Bill cancelled (Rechnung Elekrto storniert)

Use title case (Titel-Formatierung). Under "Settings / Renaming" there's a field for words that would not be changed. Just add any words you want in there. Change the uppercase first letter to Title case (Erster Buchstabe in jedem Wort) in the second one. (You'll still need that preceding New case method to lowercase everything first).
