Question about update from 3.88 to 4.23
Hello, I've been using Advanced Renamer for a while, always stuck on 3.88 though. Now I updated to 4.23, however I noticed that the folder menu is no longer located on the right side. I really liked this positioning and I haven't found in the settings how to once again have the folders on the right. Having to swap between menu's to edit methods and add different files will add a layer of annoyance that previously wasn't there, since I could simply have methods open on the left and folders on the right.
I hope someone can tell me how to change this so the folders are on the right again, thanks in advance.

HiJack (to keep with the pirate theme... RRRRR) :),
The folder panel was moved to the button on the left as of the first beta of version 4. There is no mention in the documentation about any other way to view it. You could add this to the growing list of feature suggestions on the new suggestion board (https://advancedrenamer.fider.io/).
Out of curiosity, why don't you just use drag and drop? I never use anything else, and it works best for me. I just keep my File Explorer (replacement) window open all the time. It's like having the folder panel always open, but you can drag files or folders or both.
[EDIT] You realize you can keep an installed version 3 and an installed version 4 on your system, right? Just use different base directories when installing. And of course you can have any number of portable versions on your system. [END EDIT]
Best,
DF

Hey, thank you for the info. I often work on a smaller laptop screen and if I were to have explorer open on the side, it would still overlap, due to explorer sidebar and the explorer window in general being quite a lot larger than the "files" tab on the right used to be. Just a small thing I noticed in the new version that I hoped I could change.
I am aware I could go back to 3.88 or 3.95 even, but I quite like the updated version and its new features, I just mostly have a small gripe with this one change, and was hoping it was a setting I couldn't find, or something along those lines.
I will make it a suggestion, but as the app is already on 4.23 now and nobody has brought it up before, I doubt there will be many in support or need of it, and I assume it won't happen. Will just have to learn to use it differently.
Thanks for the reaction either way, hope u have a nice weekend.

Note that -- IIRC -- two or three other users have complained about this, so you're not alone. (I personally don't use the file folder panel.)
Search is very hard on/for this forum but here's one other such instance that I found:
