window closes after opening and displays a message i can't read
I went to use my Advanced Renamer (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE), and it updated,d and now when I click on it to open it, it opens, then pops a message and closes. It happens so fast, I can't read the message. I uninstalled the client, and re-downloaded the client again and now it's saying that this software doesn't abide by the needed it's in windows and sends me to the MS Store.
So, I uninstalling the client and went to the Microsoft App Store, but the software does the same thing.
I also tried uninstalling the Store version and using the portable version, and that also did the same thing. I can't slow down the message to see what it is...can anyone help me?

I follow this and other forums and haven't seen any similar recent problems mentioned, so I'm inclined to believe it is a problem with Windows or other programs interacting on your computer.
(I now have a problem opening the link in my post to howtogeek, but there are plenty of sites that can tell you how to use sfc and dism; if you can't open the link just search for them).
The OP didn't respond, so I don't know if any of that helped, but it might be worth trying. Also, I'd send an email to Kim the developer through the "support" link on the menu above; he may or may not see it sooner than the forum but it can't hurt.

Which version of Windows are you using?
What if you download the portable version and extract it to a new folder on the desktop. Will that run? If yes, the problem is most likely in your program settings. Deleting all program settings will help in this case.
It might also be some configuration policy or anti virus software that blocks unknown software from your computer. I have seen this on some corporate computers.
