I must be missing something. I've searched and all I've come up with is this - which doesn't work:
https://www.advancedrenamer.com/forum_thread?for um_id=147 These are all files with the same name - intentionally - but that exist in different folders. I want to rename all of them to "folder.jpg." But I get this: "Possibility of multiple files with the same name" I don't understand why Advanced Renamer wants to mind my business and not do what I'd like, which is to rename the files? Any help? Thanks!! |

Incidentally, there are no other files with the same name in each folder... |

The only way I can replicate this issue is if the folders already contain a file "folder.jpg". Otherwise you should see the warning message "Extension changed". This could have occurred if you had previously run the Method without receiving the multiple files error but Windows Explorer had not automatically updated the file list so you believed the method had failed.
Incidentally, you could simply Rename with New Name = jpg and Apply to: Extension. |
