How to change file extension in one or more sub folders

I'am new with Advanced Renamer and need some help with the following:

I want to change the file extension ( *.xms.LSoff to *.xml ) in a parent folder and its sub-folders.

Is AdvancedRenamer able to do this and in case yes, how?

What are the step to execute?

Hi.
Drag the parent folder into Aren and mark include subfolders.

Use Replace method

Text to replace: xms.LSoff
Replace with: xml
Apply to: Name and extension

Hi Miguel, thanks for your reply but unfortunally I can't reproduce your steps succefully.

In the settings I have updated the files value from 25000 to 35000.

First I select Batch modus: Replace
Then I select Add files

In the Add files dialog I select the parent folder \Routes

Parent folder Routes has approx 30 sub-folders and in those folders exists files with the extension
name.xml.LSoff that should be renamed into name.xml

Below the Add files dialog I can enter a file name or file mask (for instance *.* or *.xml.LSoff
There's no way to select or enable sub-folders (included).

When I drag the mentioned parent folder 'Routes' to Aren this is not allowed because of the red circle with a slash.

I use the current version of Aren and started the app witht Admin rights.

Perhaps you can send me some screenshots how to do this.

I like to have the "Folder Panel" active so i can easily drag the folder to Aren.

From the folder panel navigate to the "Routes" folder and drag it to the Aren´s principal window. Will appear this window. Configure.

note that the extension is LSoff not xms.LSoff

When all the files are loaded add the Replace method (You can add the method before is you want)

*. The yellow color is a warning that you are going to change the file extension.

EDIT: In your first post you said that the files´name were xms.LSoff in your reply you said xml.LSoft.
In my examples i have used the xms.LSoff name. Fix this in the Replace method.
Text to Replace: xml.LSoff
Replace with: xml
Apply to: Name and extension

Thank you for your great support.
I didn't use the 'Folder Panel' in Aren but tried it with MS File Explorer and that doesn't work.

I could reproduce the examples in your screenshots and finally to replace characters in de file name extension.

I have actualized the Dutch language file (96% to 100%) and have mailed the file to Kim Jensen.
Also I found some untranslatable strings that don't exist in the language file, so I have mailed him
the Dutch.lng and a screenshot about the untranslatable strings.

He has not yet replied my mail.

Until now I have used the outdated programm FlexibleRenamer

Perhaps you cab helk me with the following problem in Aren:

When I select a few or more files there is (to) much space between the lines.
I use ARen on a Windows 11 Pro 64bit O.S. (Dutch)

In one of your pictures you took in ARen, lines have less space between.

Please see my screenshot I mailed to your gmail-account.

I hope you have a solution?

Of course it could be possible that he celebrates holidays.

Hi, it also happens to me that Kim Jensen does not reply to the email I send with the language file update.
In reality, even though it's not good behaviour, I don't see it as a problem.

Hi,
I had helped with the spanish translation and he always have reply me. Not the same day. But he will reply you.

Currently he is developing the new version of the program and probably will be full of work. Be patient.

Have you follow the instructions for translate that i gave you in the previous post?
