Hi. I use vers 3.57 and receive JPGs from 2 camera = IMP with numbers from 1500 to 2000 AND IMP with numbers from 100 to 350

And I want to mix those JPS - i TAKEN- date-order. Not in the Modified- order (as that date is changed from the TAKEN date to the day that I imported pistures from camera to Windows)

I can find the TAKEN date, as I list the files in the directory.

Q: Where can I find and set the TAKEN info into the New Name?

Regards Ole

Hi Ole, welcome,

There are three tags you can use built in (although I'm not sure they are in that old version. You might want to think about upgrading to 3.95 or 4.00):
<Img DateOriginal>, <Img DateCreate> and <Date Created>. You can also use Exif tags if those don't crank your tractor.

Check out the user guide on tags: https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/v3/ta gs

If you have more specific questions just hit us back.

Best,

Hi - and thx for your info

Now Im using version 4.03 - and its working a lot better.

Commandline is now: <Img DateOriginal> <Img DateOriginal:hhmm> - <Inc Nr:1>

But - something is wrong:

It shows:

Filename New Filename Modified Date
IMG_1493.JPG 2024-08-19 1730 - 01.JPG 20-08-2024 08:28:23

so, the New Filename is OLDER than the Original/Modified - with all of the JPSs
Something in the calculation went wrong - I think

Any good idea on that?

Regards

Hi Ole,

Did you try the other tags I suggested? If none of them work you'll need to explore the Exif tags. With one of your files selected, click on the "i" button at top left, that will show you metadata and exif tags available. Enter "date" in the Filter: field and, by working through the metadata and Exif groups you should see several tags with various dates. From there you can copy the one that suits your needs and paste it into the New Name field (assuming you are using the New Name method) and achieve what you need.
