In my music folder I have a large number of subfolders, each containing a jpg file called front. My purpose is to change the modification date of all the jpg files, but with version 4+ I get an error for most of them. The previous 3.95 version works fine. After this error the program crashes and it is not possible to close the window with the top right X.

Hi Styb,

So you are using a Timestamp method with "Apply to:" set to Modified date and time, I'm assuming. What are you using as your "Set to:" value?

Trying to recreate the problem...

Hi DF,

I'm using this setting:
Apply to created and modified date and time
Set to absolute date and time (27-10-2024 current time)

I have imported all the front.jpg files using the *front*.jpg mask. You should press the Stop Batch button when the error occurs.

Cheers

Styb,

I haven't tried that particular scheme yet, but I will tell you that I *have* seen that freeze on other batches when pressing the "Stop batch" button on errors. I can't remember what it was, it didn't seem important at the time, but I did have to open Task Manager to kill ARen. I'll take it seriously next time! :)

Later,

Well, I tried your batch as closely as I could, using up to 170 files (but not all in different directories), and it worked every time. EDIT: And I tried some other Timestamp method combinations, but no freeze. Seems to be an eccentric error.

Best,
DF
