I am currently running Advanced Renamer 4.03. I am trying to add EXIF FileCreateDate to the filename, but when I go to Item details > group > ExifTool, the tag list is empty and value says "No data." I downloaded ExifTool and verified its install in terminal ( I am on mac). Not sure what I am missing?

What type of file are you using? Only media files supported by ExifTool will be loaded with the program. Also note, FileCreateDate is not supported by macOS. That field is Windows only. You should be able to use the native Date/Time tags on the Time tab. For macOS only modified date/time is supported by the OS. https://www.advancedrenamer.com/user_guide/v4/ta gs_datetimemodified |

I'm having the same issue. After 4.01 EXIF data is not showing anything. When I revert to 4.01 everything works. I'm running macOS 15.2 (24C101) https://imgur.com/a/3vEDSPR |

I'm not able to replicate the problem. I checked the source code logs, and nothing has really changed that could explain this behaviour. The code is the same and the version of ExifTool is also the same. Because the ExifTool option is visible i the dropdown, the program was able to launch ExifTool at startup and read the version number and a list of supported file formats. It is only when it tries to load this file it fails. What happens if you do the same with a smaller file, like a JPEG? Advanced Renamer has pretty good native support for metadata. You should be able to continue without ExifTool. If you are missing a field for your renaming configuration, please let me know. |

I just had the same issue, I was on 4.06 (or 4.05 I forgot) I went to file info, chose "Exiftool", it showed "No Data". Then, I deleted all files in this app folder, then upgraded the app to 4.07. Exiftool showed info correctly. Then, I closed the app, reopened the app, "Exiftool" showed "No Data". Then, I deleted "AdvData" folder, reopened the app, Exiftool showed info correctly. |
